Proposal submitted to RTA April 2009
In Feb 2009 Roadkraft Hyderabad carried out a study of the Hyderabad Road Trafic Authorities (RTA) to assess it’s effectiveness. The theory and practical sites were visited. Over all, officials have a system in place for licensing. However, the actual driving skills are not being tested. Not many places in the world carry out a practical driving test on a sterile field and hand over a license. The present training standards are poor, due to lack of structure and education. The driving test is a sham as the driver is not tested in real conditions. If poor driving standards are the cause of over 85% of accidents on the road, then what better place to start but the RTA. A detailed proposal was submitted and is awaited feed back from RTO. The proposal deals with a complete re-vamp of the testing system and also deals with training for the road user to achieve the acceptable standards. This proposal if accepted is guaranteed to improve the situation on the roads. Similar proposal is valid for other states in India. For a details of the report please contact us.

Early on Sunday morning September 19, 1999, Jacqui – then 20 years old – and four friends were on their way home from a birthday party. Reggie Stephey, an 18-year-old high school student, was on his way home from drinking beer with some buddies. On a dark road on the outskirts of Austin, Texas, Reggie’s SUV veered into the Oldsmobile carrying Jacqui and the others. Two passengers in the car were killed at the scene and two were rescued.

RTC, Setwin race kills people
DC Hyderabad, Aug. 15/08: Competition between the APSRTC and private bus services has lead to many road accidents in city and other parts of the State. Recently, a Setwin bus claimed the life of a woman in Khairatabad.
